It's Coming!!

Well I did it!! I have officially graduated college! It hasn't really sunk in yet, but I'm sure it will once I am heading to Indonesia rather than back to classes.

As for Indonesia, preparation for it is going great! In the past couple of weeks since finishing student teaching and a few last assignment God has really blown me away. I went from still needing to raise a good chunk of money in support for my trip to being just about fully funded within about 10 days. It has been amazing to watch as my dependence on God for provision has grown as I have watched him provide and bless me. Again, thank you to everyone who has given in support of me, you have been such a blessing.

I have also finally finished all the necessary shots, which is a nice relief since I'm not a huge fan of needles. About the only thing I have left to do is get packing, which won't happen for another couple of weeks. Everything has really come together smoothly, which is just proof of how much God has had his hand on this whole situation.

I guess with still 3 weeks to go before I leave I will try and post one more update before I leave, though I'm not confident it will be too exciting considering most things have really come to a close. Once I am in Indonesia, however, my goal is to be able to post something once a week to keep everyone update, so stay tuned!!

I Finally Did It!!

Well it's official, plane tickets have finally been bought, and I am going to Indonesia!! I leave January 7 and return April 4. Between now and when I leave I have so much to do I don't even know where to begin. With finishing up student teaching, final projects, research projects and work I hardly have time for anything else. Any spare time I do have, if I'm not sleeping, is spent trying to get things in order to leave. Thankfully I will have most of December to get things done since I will be done with student teaching (and graduated!!) and will no longer be working, but I am still trying to get as much done now as possible.

The main things I still have to get done are finish support raising, get all my shots, get things together for teaching English, and make sure I have everything I need. I am just over half way to my goal in support raising. Thank you to everybody who has supported me financially and in prayers. Please continue to pray all will come together as I try to wrap everything up in the next couple of months.

I will try and keep this at least somewhat updated with how things are going as I prepare to leave, and once I leave I will try and write about how things are going and what I'm up to while I'm in Indonesia.
